I hope you don't mind me writing this post in English, but I'm Portuguese and I don't know how to speak Italian (although I manage to barely read it).

I first want to thank you all for this amazing site about the 147, with the most extensive FAQ I've read about this fantastic car.

I am 25, I live in Lisbon, and I'm a Systems Administrator. I'm also a new proud owner of a 147 1.6 TS (120) rosso, and I'm absolutelly stunned with it. It's my first Alfa and also my first italian car, and I must say it gives me a huge smile everytime I drive it.

The hard part untill now has been the sound, and I'm having some difficulties finding an MP3 original radio on ebay, (and I haven't seen 1 connect nav - not the plus - on sale). So I've seen some Nav from the 159 on ebay, and I must say I'm a bit tempted, but I'd like to know if it is possible to fit a 159's nav on my 147. Do you have any idea?

Grazie a tutti :)

Hi, and welcome on 147 VC!!
I'm sure you will enjoy this fantastic virtual family, and I can assure you that you're not the first foreigner visiting us!
As far as your question is concerned, I can tell you that the stock radio installed on the 147, although a little above the average, is not that good, and not worth an upgrade whatsoever anyways.
You might consider the idea of putting an aftermarket source, as well as new speakers. Maybe a two-way kit, made up of midwoofers and tweeters, an amplifier and sub woofer in the trunk with a dedicated amplifier.
If you choose to replace the radio, you can either purchase a cd/mp3 player, or a regular cd player, and evenualy add a separate mp3 player using an rca wire :elio) :elio) ;or even an i-POD through an interface. :nod) :nod)
Think about it, it's gonna be a little more expensive, but it will hugely pay back. No regrets at all!!! :OK) :OK) :OK) :OK) :OK) :OK)

Hi and welcome!!

About your question I'm not able to help you just now because I have no idea about the 156's navigation sistem.
I can search some information, if you want, and after that i can put a new reply on this post.
In general I think there is some litle bit difference between 147's and 156's nav sistems. It'll be fitted on 147 but i think you must adapt it.

Can I suggest you an alternative?
Bring a pocket pc instead of the original alfaromeo's nav. And about the radio... If you can bought an aftermarket one! Is better than the original and sometimes also less expansive! :OK)

oh...sorry if my english is not grammatically perfect, i'm studing it. :asd)
