Excuse me for writing in english. Feel free ro reply in italian.

Has anyone *successfully* installed a Dension ice>Link in a 147 or GT?
I would prefer the official iPod integration as announced at the Mac World,
but I cannot wait for that.

The AUX adapter by Bortesi doesn't work for newer 147's and GT's.
What about the ice>Link?

You mean: doesn't work with software 3.17 either? Bummer!

Is there *anything* known about the announced official support, like
- when will it be available
- for which models
- will it be an adapter or built into the radio
- can it be retrofitted in existing cars

Significate: non funziona con software 3.17 neanche? Più scadente!

È ci qualche cosa conosciuto circa il supporto ufficiale annunciato, come
- quando sarà disponibile
- per quali modelli
- sarà un adattatore o costruita nella radio
- può essere adattata in automobili attuali

Exactly, it doesn't work with software 3.17 or later.

I haven't got a crystal sphere.[

Of course you don't. You shouldn't take this personal.

Why do you not consider to buy an used original autoradio?

Excellent idea! I suppose many 147 drivers will be wanting to buy the GT
version of the headunit, which can read MP3 CD's. They might want
to sell their old radio's.

Unfortunately, I can't just trade my MP3-capable radio to an old one.
My car is leased, so I need to return it in an original state.

I'll set up a search on eBay, or ask in ths forum.

Thanks,
Pim

Naturalmente non. Non dovreste prendere questo personale.

Idea eccellente!

Grazie, Pim

Hmm, I'm getting conflicting reports. On the Dension support forum, there is a success story.
Unfortunately, Dension have closed their forum "in order to be able to give better support", but luckily there's Google's cache

Pim

Edit: oops, never mind, this is about another Dension product, not the ice>Link.
Still, I'd think the key issue is whether the Connects2 CarHost-S works.

Pim,
problems apparently remain when you try to connect to the NAV+ as it uses a non standard communication protocol. There where other interesting dicussions on the forum, it's a pity they closed it...
